Website Design · Custom WordPress for Dental

Dental websites that convert visitors into patients.

Most dental websites are templates from agencies that manage 1,000+ accounts. They look fine. They convert poorly. We build custom WordPress sites tuned to your market, your services, and the way patients actually decide where to book.

The Template Website Problem

Template dental websites look fine and convert poorly.

Walk into a meeting with most dental marketing agencies and they’ll show you a slick template they’ve used for 200+ other practices. Same design framework. Same stock photos of smiling models. Same copy generated by their content team. Slap your logo on it and ship.

These sites have a specific failure pattern: they look professional enough that prospects don’t reject them on appearance — but they don’t guide patients to book. The hero doesn’t speak to a specific service. The CTAs are generic. The trust signals aren’t backed by anything real. The high-value services (implants, All-on-X, Invisalign) get the same generic treatment as a routine cleaning.

We build differently. Every dental site we create is custom WordPress, built around your specific service mix, your local market, and the patient booking journey for each service. An implants page is structured completely differently than an emergency page — because the patient mindset is completely different. That structural difference is what converts.

What's Included

What's included in every site we build.

Custom design, custom development, real SEO foundation, and full ownership transfer when we hand it off. No templates, no “agency-hosted” lock-ins, no migration fees.

Custom WordPress design

No templates. Every site is designed around your specific brand, services, and patient demographics. Built on WordPress so you have full control to edit content yourself anytime.

Core Web Vitals & speed optimization

Sub-2-second load times on mobile. Optimized images, lazy loading, minified assets, properly configured caching. All Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS) in the green — Google rewards fast sites with better rankings.

Mobile-first responsive design

Over 70% of dental searches happen on mobile. Every site is designed mobile-first, with tap-friendly CTAs, click-to-call phone numbers, and the booking form always one tap away.

Schema markup & SEO foundation

Dentist + LocalBusiness + WebPage + FAQPage schema deployed throughout the site. Proper heading hierarchy, semantic HTML, optimized meta tags, sitemap.xml, robots.txt — everything Google needs to crawl and rank you.

Conversion-optimized service pages

Dedicated pages for each high-value service — implants, All-on-X, Invisalign, emergency, cosmetic. Each one structured around the patient research and decision journey, not a generic template layout.

Booking flow & contact UX

Multiple, friction-free ways for patients to book — call, form, online scheduler integration. Sticky mobile call button. Pre-qualifying form fields that capture insurance and service interest before the call.

Self-edit CMS in WordPress

You'll be able to update text, swap images, add team members, and publish blog posts yourself — no developer needed. We give you a 30-minute training session at handoff so you're confident editing the site solo.

Full ownership transfer at launch

Domain, hosting, WordPress license, content, design files — all in your name from day one. No "agency-hosted" lock-in. If we ever part ways, you keep everything. No migration fees, no held-hostage assets.

Real Results · Plumas Family Dentistry

How a custom website helped Plumas rank #1 in Google AI Mode.

Rebuilding the implants and All-on-X service pages with proper structure, transparent pricing ($1,099 starting), and FAQ schema was the foundation that made Plumas the recommended dental implants provider in Google’s AI Mode for their city.

How We Work

From kickoff to launch in 4-6 weeks.

Custom dental websites take time to do right. Here's exactly what happens, week by week, so you know what to expect.

01

Discovery & strategy (week 0-1)

60-minute kickoff call to understand your services, market, patient demographics, and competitors. Site map, page priority list, and content audit of your existing site. We extract anything worth keeping.

02

Wireframes & content (week 1-2)

Low-fidelity wireframes for homepage and key service pages. Content drafts written in your voice (or yours rewritten and tightened). You review and approve before any visual design begins.

03

Visual design (week 2-3)

High-fidelity desktop and mobile designs for homepage and 3-4 key pages. Color palette, typography, imagery direction. Two rounds of design revisions included before development begins.

04

WordPress development (week 3-5)

Custom WordPress build. Theme development, plugin configuration, performance optimization, schema markup, mobile responsiveness. Built on a staging environment so you can review every page as it's built.

05

Testing, training & launch (week 5-6)

Cross-browser testing, mobile testing, Core Web Vitals optimization, 301 redirect mapping from old URLs, GSC and Google Analytics setup. 30-minute training so you can edit content yourself. DNS cutover.

06

Post-launch optimization (month 1)

Heatmap analysis, conversion tracking review, post-launch performance monitoring. Adjustments based on real visitor behavior in the first 30 days. Then we hand off keys (or roll into ongoing SEO if you want).

Common Questions

Dental website design, answered.

The questions every practice owner asks. Direct answers, no fluff.
4-6 weeks from kickoff to launch for most practices. Multi-location groups or sites with complex integrations (booking systems, patient portals, multi-language) can take 8-10 weeks. We'll give you a specific timeline during the discovery phase based on your scope.
Three reasons: SEO control, ownership, and editability. WordPress gives you complete control over technical SEO (schema, meta tags, redirects, performance optimization) — Wix and Squarespace lock down what you can do. WordPress sites are portable; you own the codebase and can move it anywhere. And WordPress is far more flexible for the kind of custom service-page architecture dental SEO requires.
Yes. WordPress is designed for self-editing — you'll be able to update text, swap images, add team members, change service descriptions, and publish blog posts without needing a developer. We include a 30-minute training session at handoff and a written quick-reference guide for common tasks.
Completely. Domain, hosting, WordPress license, content, design files, and the full codebase all stay in your name from day one. No agency-hosted lock-in. If we ever part ways, you keep everything — no migration fees, no held-hostage assets, no extraction process.
We recommend self-hosting through a quality dental-friendly host (we recommend WP Engine or Kinsta — typically $30-$50/month). You pay the host directly, not us. We help you set up the hosting account during the build process. We don't host sites ourselves because that creates the exact lock-in we're philosophically opposed to.
Yes. Our Market Dominator plan includes a "conversion sprint" in month 1 — we rebuild just your homepage and 4 key service pages instead of the entire site. This is often the right move for practices with sites that are mostly fine but need their highest-revenue service pages to convert better. Full rebuilds are available as separate projects.
Search visibility doesn't transfer instantly when you launch a new site — Google needs to recrawl and re-evaluate. We mitigate this with proper 301 redirect mapping from your old URLs, schema markup deployment, sitemap submission to GSC, and an optimized robots.txt. Practices that already had decent rankings typically see them stabilize within 2-4 weeks. Practices that were ranking poorly often see immediate improvements.
